Laura Rice, M.Ed, Director and Tutor 

A New York State Certified Reading Specialist with over 30 years of experience, Laura Rice is the Learning Resource Center’s director and lead tutor. Her background includes serving as a classroom teacher and learning specialist at public and private schools in New York. An expert in the area of emergent literacy, Laura works with individual students and small groups spanning all ages and needs. She believes in a warm, holistic team approach, collaborating effectively with students’ parents, classroom teachers, therapists, and other specialists. She helps all students do their best, build confidence, and advance academically. Laura shares, “I love my job. My students inspire me every day, and I’m grateful to make a difference for them and their families. I look forward to meeting you!”
